The safety and well-being of our employees is of the utmost importance to us at Southern Mechanical Contractors. We strive to develop a culture of safety into every operation carried out by our employees and subcontractors through a variety of training programs and a rewards program aimed at giving each employee a way to show his pride in a job done well and safely.
Our Safety Director is an OSHA Authorized Outreach Construction Trainer (C 0057384) who continuously updates our training, using a variety of resources, aimed at insuring that our employees are tuned in to jobsite specific safety concerns. In this manner we assure our customers that all SMC employees are well trained and properly credentialed from the moment they arrive onsite.
Since 1997, employees who achieve the highest level of safe work performance are rewarded annually with a variety of items such as shirts, jackets, coats & hats which are distributed at periodic safety meetings held at our home office.
We have many employees who have no accidents, injuries or violations during those 14 years and have received rewards each year.
